1. About this statement

Kova uses artificial intelligence to help convert design, project, and workflow context into structured delivery work.

This AI Use Statement explains how AI is used in Kova, what users should expect, and what responsibilities remain with users.

2. What Kova uses AI for

Kova may use AI to:

  • analyse Figma frames, screenshots, comments, and metadata
  • identify UI elements, flows, states, dependencies, and possible implementation work
  • generate draft tickets
  • write descriptions, acceptance criteria, QA notes, and story points
  • split work into frontend, backend, QA, or related categories
  • summarise project context
  • suggest improvements to ticket quality
  • compare generated work against prior ticket styles
  • assist with workflow, reporting, or project management outputs

3. Human review is required

AI-generated output is a draft.

Users must review, edit, approve, and validate generated output before relying on it, sending it to clients, pushing it to Jira or another project management tool, assigning it to team members, or using it to make commercial, technical, delivery, or legal decisions.

Kova does not replace product managers, delivery leads, designers, developers, QA, legal advisors, security reviewers, or other professionals.

Kova is provided on a paid subscription basis following a 7-day free trial. Access to AI-assisted features requires an active subscription or active trial.

4. AI can make mistakes

AI-generated output may contain:

  • incorrect assumptions
  • missing requirements
  • duplicated tasks
  • wrong story points
  • incomplete acceptance criteria
  • hallucinated details
  • missed edge cases
  • incorrect technical recommendations
  • inaccurate interpretation of visual designs
  • content that does not match your team's conventions

Kova is designed to reduce manual translation work, not remove accountability from the user.

5. Model providers and routing

To provide AI-assisted features, Kova sends relevant user-authorised data to AI infrastructure or model providers.

This may include design screenshots, frame metadata, ticket content, comments, project context, or other information required to generate the requested output.

Model providers

Kova uses Anthropic (Claude) as a primary AI model provider. Kova may also use OpenRouter as a model routing layer, which may direct requests to Anthropic or other model providers. Both are listed in the Subprocessor List.

Style learning

Kova may store embeddings of your historical ticket data in a vector database (Pinecone) to personalise and improve generated output for your workspace. This data is workspace-scoped. It is not shared with other customers or used to train any AI model. You can request deletion of this data at any time by contacting admin@getkova.co.

What we do not do

We do not use customer project data to train AI models. We send only the information reasonably required for the relevant task.

6. User responsibilities

Users are responsible for ensuring that:

  • they have the right to submit or connect the data used with Kova
  • client data is handled in accordance with client agreements
  • confidential or sensitive data is only processed where authorised
  • generated output is reviewed before use
  • project management tools are configured correctly
  • users and team members apply appropriate judgment before acting on output

7. No professional advice

Kova does not provide legal, financial, security, compliance, medical, employment, tax, or other regulated professional advice.

Any output that touches regulated, high-risk, legal, security, or compliance matters should be reviewed by an appropriate professional.

8. Improving AI quality

Kova may use logs, usage information, user corrections, feedback, quality scores, and non-identifying analytics to improve the product.

Where Kova learns from a customer's historical tickets or style patterns, that learning is intended to improve output for that customer's workspace only and does not give Kova permission to disclose that customer's confidential information to others.
